Looks like a realtor, Robin Raciborski, will be running for the 2nd Ward alderman seat. (Gazette story here).
Imagine that: real estate values and real markets actually entering into some discussion on policy at a local level. What an outrage!
Of course, one’s vocation does not necessarily translate into good policy making but just to see the possibility of real estate emerge as an issue makes me a bit giddy. I’ll now be watching the 2nd Ward race a bit more closely and also looking at whether real estate gets any traction.
